"…and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth." Acts 1:8

One definition of mission says…

"Mission is the role or function an individual or group undertakes to fulfill the plans, purposes and vision of someone greater."

The heart of Vineyard is to always be looking outside of ourselves to see what the Father is doing in His Kingdom. This is at both an individual and corporate level. We have been commissioned and empowered (Matt. 28:18 and Acts 1:8) to advance God's Kingdom.

As Jesus builds His church, He takes us to our local community and beyond... to wherever the Spirit of Christ would lead us.

Often as individuals we feel as if our role in mission is insignificant. The purpose of this brochure is to help us see that as part of Vineyard Australia, we are corporately part of something much larger.

As a movement, we are being used by God to advance His Kingdom in various ways to the nations of the world, extending God's love and mercy in its various forms to those in need. This includes not only financial support, but also in the areas of evangelism, construction, teaching, development and medical support.

Friends, someone greater, Jesus himself, the King of Kings and Lord of Lords is calling all of us to fulfill our role in missions… what role will you be playing this year?
